USAVP-TEP33A – tests and commission delivery in Almaty

From November 12 to December 5, tests and commission delivery of the updated control program of the USAVP-TEP33A system were carried out in Almaty on the Almaty-Saryozek-Almaty section.

A feature of the new technology is the integrated solution of the car driving system with the “Bort” locomotive traffic safety system – there is less than one separate car driving monitor for the driver on the locomotive, which means that it has now become more convenient and safer to drive the train by observing data on a single monitor and using a touch keyboard on it to enter data.

Three control trips were conducted from November 29 to December 5 – they were attended by an acceptance committee, which included the following companies: Transtelesoft LLC, Transtelesoft LLP, AVP Technologiya LLC KTZ-Passenger Locomotives, NC KTZ JSC.
During the three control visits, the commission did not have any comments on the functioning of the system: she correctly fulfills temporary and permanent speed limits, clearly performs a set of traction and braking, regularly performs overtaking when she is late. According to the conducted thermal analysis, significant fuel savings were noted during the trips.
The commissioning was completed successfully, the commission recommends the transfer of the USAVP-TEP33A management program to permanent operation, as well as the transfer of service to Transtelesoft LLP.
